Salem is the capital of Oregon State and it is situated in the north central Willamette Valley. Salem has the population of 150,000. There is a lot of rainfall in the later part of the fall and throughout the winter but it continues most of the year with a exception of late June to early part of September and there is little snow fall in winter.
Take a trip in the bus to see the city. Visiting Mission Mill Museum, AC Gilbert's Discovery Village and Bush House would give you an insight into Salem’s history. You must call on to the Gold Man on top of the State Capital Building, if you happen to be there on Sunday.
Oregon State Fair which is held in late August, Salem Skate Park which has many grind space and ramps, Bush’s Pasture Park with many historical sites which also contains tennis courts and trails are major tourist attractions. If you want to have live experience of medieval era, the place for you is Enchanted Forest where you can walk through medieval castles and have chance to meet ghosts in the haunted mansions. Salem Riverfront Park would be loved by the children. There are many other places to visit and you would never forget the trip to the city.
